“At Operation Smile, we believe that EVERY child suffering from cleft lip or cleft palate deserves exceptional surgical care – which will result in them being able to smile, too. Operation smile is an international medical charity that has provided hundreds of thousands of free surgeries for children and young adults in more than 60 developing countries.”
The PCS Club was founded in 2017 and was recognized as the “Outstanding New Club of the Year” at Operation Smile’s International Student Leadership Conference in July 2018.
Mr. Ciuffreda is the club advisor, and meetings are held before school on Wednesday mornings. Students in grades 5-8 are welcome to be club members, and learn leadership skills as well as work first-hand on projects and events that demonstrate the cumulative power of small acts of kindness.
